Letter from ARMtech President and CEO Michael Smith

Sompo International to Acquire Diversified Crop Insurance Services

We at ARMtech are excited about bringing the success of DCIS into our organization, and know that while the combination of two such companies is unprecedented in the crop insurance industry, it creates a new level of stability for our agents and insureds.

DCIS has a proven track record in the market of creating mutually beneficial and long-lasting agency partnerships while offering innovative, added value solutions to our insureds, who will always be the primary reason our market exists.

By combining the two strong companies, we will create a unified, Approved Insurance Provider (AIP) that is focused on:

  • building and enhancing lasting relationships;
  • providing leading-edge technology solutions and products;
  • offering unparalleled customer service; and
  • delivering world class claims paying expertise.

Our combined organization will not only diligently serve America’s farmers with the utmost efficiency, it will also have the scale to mitigate multiple risks simultaneously while partnering effectively with our agents.

Today’s announcement marks the beginning of our integration planning process as we head towards closing, which is expected during the fourth quarter.  In the interim, ARMtech and DCIS will continue to operate as separate AIPs in consideration of anti-trust regulations.  We will, however, be working to identify mutually beneficial opportunities for all stakeholders as we chart a sustainable and successful path forward.

Should you have any questions now, or during the coming days, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Marketing Representative, any member of the Leadership Team, or myself.

As always, we thank you for your business, and we look forward to working with you during this transition and in the years to come.
